In one of the functions, Rajini had told the CM, "Please participate in more film functions and give us your advice." Vaiko mentioned this at a farmer's rally indirectly indicating that the CM had time only for film matters. This upset Rajini fans at how Vaiko could thus reprimand their idol.
On hearing about this, Vaiko clarified, "I did not say anything against Rajini. I am honored that Rajini enjoyed my speech at the Thiruvasagam release." He added balm to his speech that after Makkal Thilakam and Nadigar Thilakam, Rajini was the most charismatic in Tamilnadu and so on.
If other youth get angry over the Rajini matter, wonder how Vaiko would manage that!
