Vindhya made her debut as heroine in 'Sangamam' directed by Suresh Krishna. She has played the lead in 35 Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Her latest films 'Azhagu Nilayam' and 'Ayudham Seivom' are to be released shortly.
She is to tie the knot with actress Bhanupriya's younger brother Gopikrishna, known as Gopi. He has actyed as hero in 'Vaakumoolam.' An automobile engineer, he is also into real estate business.
Vindhya and Gopi started out as friends and recently decided to get married. With the consent of both sets of parents, the betrothal took place. The marriage will be held next month on 16th at Krishna temple in Guruvayoor in the presence of close relatives and friends. The reception will be held later in Chennai for the cinema circle and politicians.
The wedding arrangements are being made by Vindhya's father Yoganand, Gopi's mother M Lakshmi and sisters Bhanupriya and Shantipriya.
