Love is a beautiful encounter in one's life. Life does not end with love. There's more beyond that but many good and bad things are decided by love. The life that follows love gives meaning to the word. So, one has to live that next step to love. This in short is the story of 'Ananda Thandavam.'
Gandhi Krishna is a product of Shankar's training and he has already directed 'Nilaakalam' and 'Chellame.'
"Novel is a different language from cinema. One first needs a good understanding when translating a novel into film, in order to achieve success on screen. Mere enlargement of the story would not work. This is what I have learnt," says the director.
A house that floats on water was made to shoot a song sequence. It has been created by art director Thotta Tharani.
The story is set in Papanasam and Thirunelveli areas. This floating house was built in the Karaiyar Anaicut where the water is about 150' deep and there are crocodiles too.
As per plan for an 80 day schedule, 40 days of work has completed 60% of the film. Shooting has been done at Papanasam, Thirunelveli, Karaiyaru and Servalaru Anaicut as well as Ooty. Half of the film has been shot in US and Canada as per story.
